Most of the time she smiles when I sing it to her.

I made up songs for the other four grandkids too when they were little but I can’t remember them now…..

My two sons, my daughter Emily and my daughter in law Crystal are all dieting and whomever loses the most weight by December 31st wins the jack pot which is $500

I am in the race too but I have to say I don’t have any incentive to lose.

If it was spring time I may be more motivated.

I know, five hundred dollars should be motivation enough.

I know….

I am just fat and lazy.

But it would bed AWESOME to win the money.

I doubt I will do it but…….it is winding down to November first so if I am going to do it I should get started.

I went to work at five fifty am on Saturday morning and was so tired that night that I barely made it home let alone look around…….

I did the same on Sunday and it was nearly dark when I came home last night……

But the reason I bring this up is……I swear this tree was still green on Friday.

And here three days later it is like this.

It sits in our front yard and I am amazed how yellow it has become.

How in the hell did that happen over night?

Like a snap of the fingers it all changes……

Amazing.

I love this time of the year though…..

So beautiful.

 

So after working twelve hours I am very hot and sweaty.

So sweaty that I will have to bathe before I go to bed….. the problem is…..I do not feel clean and will shower again when I get up in the morning.

I can not go all day not showering.

Or if I do, I feel crappy all day long.

I know, weird and I can’t even explain why I feel this way.

I have always been like this.

But if I went to bed tonight without showering I will be hot and sweaty and miserable all night feeling gross.

It is a no win situation.

I can’t explain any of it.

I know, I am just weird.

I have the next twelve days off.

Yeah, yippee……I wish I was going on vacation some where but alas…..I am watching grandchildren…..

Not that I mind, I love them dearly but I would love to be heading on vacation.

Just seems weird to have that many days off and staying home.

But since I watch grandchildren full time not sure when I will get a vacation ……..

Yeah this fat old body aches tonight.

My right knee is giving me fits causing me to walk with a limp and that in turn makes my hips hurt.

Sigh.

It just plain and simply hurts to walk.

This getting old….

So I just finished watching the five seasons of the above titled show on Netflix.

It was decent.

Not wonderful but decent.

I am not a big fan of Vera Farmiga but she did a half way decent job in her role.

Freddie Highmore was fantastic as Norman Bates

and I have always though Max Thieriot is a good actor and a handsome guy.

Even Nester Carbonell was good in it

And while it may not be the very best of television on right now, it kept me entertained.

Which is the point.

My youngest grand daughter Ava is so spoiled.

I love her dearly don’t get me wrong.

She is incredible and precious and I adore her.

But her mother especially spoiled her so much that she wants to be held while she sleeps.

I have tried to get her to sleep elsewhere but in my arms but she instantly wakes up and cries if I don’t pick her up right away.

I do let her cry every now and then.

But it is hard for me because she is my last grandchild and I do adore her.

Yes I spoil her too.

 

I can’t believe that it is Wednesday already.

I don’t know where the time goes.

It just simply flies.

In a week it will be Halloween and then November first……

How is that possible?

I find even when I work the days still seem to fly by.

Just insane.

On another note I love this weather and this time of year…..

God just smiles on Iowa this time of year.

Well my four year old grand daughter gave me her cold.

I have a sore throat and ache all over.

I also am coughing and sneezing.

It is a good time.
