My Sweet Lord   Leave a comment

I can not imagine my life if I didn’t have my Lord in it.
I talk to Him at least twice every day.

the first time usually is before I even get out of bed, although not always.

sometimes I talk to Him through out my day when I need a little boost of strength

I always talk to Him before I go to sleep at night.
And I honestly can’t imagine it any other way.
My Lord gets me through everything.

He is my foundation and I just can’t imagine a life where I didn’t have Him to talk to.
I need Him, like I need air to breathe.

sunshine and snow   Leave a comment

I miss the sunshine and I hate the thought of more snow.

although the weatherman assures us there will be no accumulation this time or the time on Friday.

let’s hope they are right

even though we had a very mild winter, I am so ready for spring.

AND  I noticed flowers coming up in my yard.

not good.

that means when they need to come up in April, they won’t.
Darn it.

what to say today?   Leave a comment

I was in bed by seven forty-five last night, due to not sleeping well at all on Sunday night.
I watched the Oscars and was in bed by eleven that night but I got up at two to let Max out and I never got to sleep after that.

and I worked hard yesterday as I always do when there are no kids here at the school.

So I was in bed early than got up at midnight to let Max out and slept straight through till five this morning.
What a good feeling to be rested.

today there is parent teacher conferences all day so there will be people in and out of here

the only thing I have to do is clean the gym and kitchen floors

and that will take me about an hour or so.

then I will be looking for things to do because as I said, people will be in and out all day and that leaves a lot of places I can’t get to and keep clean.

still having a relaxing day is nice as well.

I still long for warmer temperatures and a lot of sunshine, but I guess since we aren’t even into March yet, I shouldn’t complain.

still day dreaming   1 comment

I would love to be standing at this railing and looking out on the ocean

listening to the seagulls chirping and having the sun warm my skin

I miss the ocean.

a mother’s love   Leave a comment

my daughter and I are at odds, and no it isn’t the oldest one this time.

it is the youngest one.

I have said and done something that has upset her and while she says she isn’t mad at me, she is upset

I have to admit I am upset with her too and hate above anything else that she is making a mistake that one day she will regret

and while it is her mistake to make, I hate seeing her do it.

but I need to do what she needs me to do and I will, although I have to say it is very hard.

because I know she is wrong.

still, after my estrangement with my eldest child, I don’t want to lose my other daughter in the same way.

a mother’s love is the toughest thing in the world.

especially when you see your child make a huge mistake that will one day cost her.

The Oscars   Leave a comment

I thought the Oscars were good and entertaining last night.

I missed out on a few hours of sleep staying up late to watch them but it was enjoyable.

the dresses were beautiful and the men were handsome.
According to Yahoo this morning Angelina Jolie was the best dressed woman.
I disagree.
I thought Natalie Portman or Viola Davis was.
As for the men, George Clooney looked handsome as did Mr Brad Pitt, although I wasn’t crazy about his hair, but I heard he is growing it for a role.

Christian Bale looked quite handsome too.

I always find it fun to look at the gowns and hair styles and just enjoy the glamour of this night.

Happy Birthday Son   Leave a comment

my oldest son is 31 today (seen here with his wife and daughter at Christmas)

He isn’t officially 31 till four thirty this afternoon when he was born but we are having a family gathering and my husband is making home-made pizza for lunch

I let the kids decide what meal they want to have for their birthday and this is what Brian picked.
We will of course have cake and ice cream too.

Paula won’t be here, and Emily is working, but the rest of us, will enjoy the time.
