hanging in…..hanging out…and hanging on…   2 comments

time is winding down to the final curtain call….until it is all over with, the summer gone and school will be in session again.

looking a head I see the hustle and bustle of the students in my school who have all grown an inch or more over the summer…..I see the trees turning brilliant orange and burnt reds as they all  fall softly to the earth.

I see snow and bitter coldness. and myself out there shoveling as my nose is running and my glasses are fogging up…..and the holidays looming ahead.

I see a new year coming…..and my four children’s birthday’s…the first three months of the new year…..

I see spring and rain and mud and a messy school every day to clean….

and before I know it, the 2010-2011 school year will be done and it will be summer again.

I will turn 50, a half a century old….and hopefully be a bit wiser…..

Amazing how quickly it all goes….

  1. I don’t know if it’s true, but I’ve heard that we perceive time to move more quickly as we age. I am also turning 50 this year – not sure if I welcome it or if I’ll dread it. But it is what it is.

  2. why dread it?
It is what it is, is right.
Can’t change it and it beats dying.
    So hang in there.
    It is all good.
    🙂
