Aaron   Leave a comment

Aaron is still a baby in his mommy’s belly and won’t be making his way into the world for another nine weeks or so….but he is very much loved and very much wanted and I can’t wait to hold my little man in my arms.

Kayla   Leave a comment

Kayla is sixteen months old now and so incredibly sweet and wonderful.
She has her funny little habits , like when she doesn’t want to do something she squeezes her eyes shut and makes a funny face. She is learning new words every week and she is incredibly wonderful and a fantastic addition to our family.
I love her just as much as her big sister.

Keira   Leave a comment

this is my Keira who is the most precious of gifts to me
My first blood grandchild makes her that way.
She is quite ornery and a very big hot head but she can also be quite adorable and loving too.

Mirielle   Leave a comment

This is my oldest grand daughter Mirielle
her father is in the one with her and the other is at my son’s wedding to Mirielle’s mother.
Mirielle isn’t a blood grandchild but my son is adopting her and she has been in our family since she was fourteen months old.
She is a smart girl and can be very sweet.

my loves   Leave a comment

This picture was taken last summer and Miss Kayla has changed quite a lot since then, but the other two look pretty much the same.
I will have to get another one this summer as we watch our annual fair parade in our little midwest town when Aaron is there too so I can have a picture of my four little loves.
The lights of my life and my precious gifts from my Lord.

ocean versus mountains   Leave a comment

we were talking the other day about traveling and what our loves are.
I so love the ocean
I really do but sometimes I see pictures of mountains and I can’t help but fight with myself about which I love more.
Not that I honestly have to choose because I don’t.
But I tend to travel to warmer temperatures which lead me to the ocean
However I love the beauty of snow capped mountains and the beautiful serene lakes beneath them.
it is a tough call….
both hold so much beauty

I’ve decided after finding these pictures on the internet that I need to visit the west coast again.
Beautiful to say the least.

remodeling   Leave a comment

so here in two weeks if everything goes as planned, we will be getting our home back and fixing it up as we see fit.
How exciting is that!!
No dogs means no dog kennels to have to deal with and no animal hair every where!!!
I have already painted my bathroom.
I am not quite finished but it looks so much better then it did.
We also will be painting our bedroom, and then I will fix up the girls room, and put a crib up for Aaron for when he comes to stay in the extra bedroom.
I will be able to finally get my den back……
so exciting let me tell you!
And then I will have boxes of books to unpack and a storage unit full of furniture to put back into our house.
The best part will be getting rid of all the animal hair and getting my radio back into the bathroom so I can listen to music when I shower every morning.
(I know it is the little things)
We will eventually re paint the living room and dining room and get a new ceiling in the living room and one or two bedrooms upstairs, due to cracks in the ceiling and a leak in the bedroom roof.
it will all take time of course but I am taking off two days AFTER they move so I can at least get all the curtains and blinds washed and rehung and get all the animal hair out of there before we move our furniture back in.
I am excited and can’t wait for the move to take place.
Yes I will miss my little girls but….I am ready to get my house back!!!

something to talk about   Leave a comment

I am having the Monday blahs.
I know, I have only been at work for a little over an hour and already I am thinking, ugh.
not a good feeling.
But alas…I must eat and have a roof over my head so here I am.
As depressing as that is.
I should be grateful that I have a job.
And I do know that.
I am to an extent but I really wish I could just stop working all together.
That would be awesome.

but unfortunately I can’t quit working at this time.
Just not feasable.
Maybe some day.

My husband plans on retiring in three years and then just work part time some place else.
He deserves it since he has worked every day of his life since he was seventeen.
I just hope that his health doesn’t deteroiate when he no longer works a full time job.
It happened to his father so I would really hate to see it happen to him.

Why can’t we be rich????

I am at work again.
I can’t believe I was actually off a week but since it did happen I suppose I am forced to believe it.
The weekend was quite uneventful.
Mainly watched the grand children.
Went to “Shutter Island” but I mentioned that in an earlier post.
I think that movie was fantastically done.
So incredibly good and well done.
I loved Leonardo DiCaprio and he did a fantastic job as well.

Read some and tried to write to no avail.
Rather depressing but I keep telling myself in two weeks the kids will be gone and I can get my den back and maybe then I will be able to write more.
Hope so anyway.

I didn’t get everything done I wanted to get done over my vacation but…I am happy with the little I did do.
Just too many hours watching the girls and not enough time to do the other things.
My ambition was low too.
ahh well….at least I feel rested and ready to tackle another work week.
