I love to read   Leave a comment

I love to read.
I love it so much that I find myself trying out new authors all of the time and if I really like them, I have to buy all of their books.
My favorites are
Nicholas Sparks
Nicholas Evans (my very favorite)
Sandra Brown
Jodi Picoult
Stephan King
Dean Koonz

I own every book Nicholas Evans and Nicholas Sparks have written.
I am collecting every Jodi Picoult book that she has written.
I am very slowly collecting every book Sandra Brown has written, although I have to say some of her earlier stuff is just fluff and I don’t think I will collect all of it, but her latest work for the last five years, I have collected.
I own a couple Stephan King and a few Dean Koonz as well.
I probably will never own all of either one of these men.

I so love to read.
reading to me is like watching a great movie.
It is a fantastic pass time and I spend hours in the winter months just reading.

I have seven books sitting on my desk to read and I just ordered four more.
I love the variety and I love to read the different types of writing.

Oh I also have both books by Michael J. Fox.
I like him a lot and think he is a remarkable man.

my husband never reads except the newspaper.
I guess most men don’t read.
My youngest son does a bit.
but not very often.

Some books are so wonderful I can’t put them down.
Sandra Brown’s “ENVY” was such a book
Dean Koontz “Whispers” was such a book
I have one of Richard North Patterson’s books titled “Silent Witness” which was excellent and I have read it four or five times.
I tried reading another one of his and found it so dry that I couldn’t get through it.
I have read James Patterson too, and even own one or two of his.

I use to like Iris Johanson but it got to be her books were all the same with different names for the characters.
Too boring for me.
Plus I don’t like when I can figure the plot out before the end of the book.
I like to be surprised.
And while once and a while I can figure it out before the ending, I like it when I can’t put the book down because I am so anxious to find out what happens.

I also own a book by Mary Higgins Clark called “A Cry in the Night” which I thought was very good.
And I have read others of hers, but none of them can affect me or interest me as “A Cry in the Night” did.

At any rate, for those of you who don’t read, My husband and children included, you honestly don’t know what you are missing.

If ONLY I could write as well as any of the above authors I have mentioned.
I would be rich.
🙂
and I would love my work!
