He stopped loving her today   Leave a comment

This is a song by George Jones and it is so wonderfully pretty.

YouTube – He Stopped Loving Her Today – George Jones

I’m sitting here at my desk at work and listening to old songs that remind me of my mother.
She loved George Jones, Conway Twitty, Faron Young, Marty Robbins and so many others

in for a cold cold winter   Leave a comment

as I was bathing this morning before work I heard on the radio that we are going to have a very cold winter this year.
Farmers Almanac says so.
(are they ever wrong?)

nothing was mentioned about how much snow/ice  we may get, only that it will be really cold.

But honestly with the below average summer we have had, is it at all surprising our winter will be extra cold?

we just go round and round   Leave a comment

here we are sitting on hump day again.
The week seems to have gone fast.
Feels like it just was hump day.

The above line “We just go round and round”  is from the movie Harry Trueman.  and while it wasn’t a great movie the concept of it was neat.
He may have said “they just go round and round” instead of the “We” I put in there.
I can’t remember but if I am going to quote I should quote correctly yes?
🙂
again today I have no ambition to be here.
Wish I could just quit and stay home and be a bum.

My youngest grand daughter is sick and her mom is going to take her to the doctor today.
I am betting a flu bug or ear infection but guess we will know in a few hours.

Anyway while your world goes round and round I hope it is a good day.

advice   Leave a comment

while I don’t know it all and would never pretend to, I do feel like I have been through quite a bit in my life and I do know a thing or two about life, love and relationships.
I will never claim to be the smartest person in the world and I will never be the brightest crayon in the box, but I do know a little about it all.

and while some people may not want to hear about what I know and some people may think I don’t know a thing….I still think the best way of learning is to live through it.
Experience it.
At least it has worked for me all these years.

Winter wonderland   Leave a comment

snowtreesgood1-s I wrote a comment on snow earlier and a person wrote that they love winter.  I assume this person was a woman, but of course I can’t be sure.   So anyway I thought I would put some pictures out there and show the beauty of this season.
no I am not ready for winter but I do love the look of it.
Especially when I am in the warmth of my house looking out at it.

Phenomenon   Leave a comment

I am sitting here watching Phenomenon with John Travolta.
I love this movie and I forget how much until I see it again.
There is a scene in the movie where Kara Sedgwig is shaving John’s character and cutting his hair and it is the most romantic scene I have ever seen in a movie.
She gets up and puts on her sweater and he asks her “Are you running away?” and she nods yes.
And then he asks her “Are you coming back?” and she nods her head again  and leaves.
And he watches her through the window and says “I hope so” to the empty room

It is so romantic!!!!
If you  haven’t seen this movie you have to watch it.
It is great!!!
